Florida Marlins Most Valuable Player Award

Members of the Miami chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America vote annually for the Florida Marlins Most Valuable Player Award receipient. Similar in nature to a Most Valuable Player Award, but simply team specific, the Marlins Most Valuable Player Award has been given since 1993 to the Florida Marlins player who consistently performed at the top of their game during the season.

Florida Marlins Most Valuable Player Award

Florida Marlins who have won the Florida Marlins Most Valuable Player Award more than once are: Hanley Ramirez (3), Miguel Cabrera (2), Luis Castillo (2), Jeff Conine (2) and Cliff Floyd (2).

In 1995 the Miami area writers created the Florida Marlins Rookie of the Year Award and the Charlie Hough Good Guy Award. In 2008 they started the Jeff Conine Award.
