Jeff Conine Award

Members of the Miami chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America vote annually for the Jeff Conine Award receipient. Named in honor of "Mr. Marlin", this honor will be given to the player whose commitment to the game is embodied in his integrity and unselfish play.

Florida Marlins own "Mr. Marlin" has won the Florida Marlins Most Valuable Player Award twice, 1994 & 1995.

In 1995 the Miami area writers created the Florida Marlins Rookie of the Year Award and the Charlie Hough Good Guy Award.
