Colgate University M.L.B. Player Alumnus

The Colgate University baseball program started in 1886 and Kid McLaughlin was their first player to make it to the Major League level. Names that appear on the chart above in bold print are in the Colgate University Hall of Fame.

Did you know that there are twelve former Colgate University players (and three former non-players) who made it to the show? Send corrections to Baseball Almanac.

Ten former Raider players made it to the show before Ebba St. Claire became the first to hit a major league home run! On August 14, 1951 St.Claire hit a bases empty shot at Braves Field in the bottom of the second inning off hall of famer Robin Roberts.
