Scott Kamieniecki (1983-1986) and Gary Wayne (1983-1984), who were the first two Alumni pitchers in a Varsity versus Alumni game played on September 21, 2003, were also the starting pitchers for the Michigan Wolverines during the 1984 College World Series, the last time a Michigan or Big Ten team reached Omaha.
