During the 1997 season the Seattle Mariners, who had a ninety & seventy-two record, had their largest attendance when 3,192,237 fans attended home games.

On March 31, 1998, the Seattle Mariners set a new team record for Opening Day attendance when 57,822 fans attended the Opening Day game at the Kingdome.
