The Washington Nationals will start their 2005 season with a hall of famer at the helm making them the first team to do this since the Texas Rangers had Ted Williams up front in 1972.
Frank Robinson is certainly one of the great hall of fame players, but he is not on track to be recognized as a hall of fame caliber manager. Before he even took the helm in 2005, he brought to the franchise fifteen years of coaching experience and a career losing record of 913-1004.
