Did you know that when Ralph Kiner went deep against Mel Parnell during the eighth inning he became the first all-star player to hit a home run in three consecutive Midsummer Classics?

When the game was over, reporters asked Jackie Robinson how he felt about winning two consecutive All-Star games. Robinson quietly replied, "It's always better when you win."

Both leagues combined to hit four home runs — an All-Star record which has been tied, but not yet broken.
