Autograph Of The Week: Warren Spahn

On April 28, 1961, Warren Spahn was pitching for the Milwaukee Braves and threw a 1-0 no hitter versus the San Francisco Giants. Spahn became the second oldest pitcher ever to throw a no-hitter and he did so on a VERY cold evening at County Stadium!

"A pitcher needs two pitches, one they're looking for and one to cross them up." - Warren Spahn

In the introduction we mentioned the selection was due to Warren Spahn being the second oldest pitcher to toss a no-no. Did you know that Cy Young holds the record?

Warren Spahn faced a first place team in the snow with a lineup of sluggers that included Felipe Alou, Orlando Cepeda, Willie Mays, and Willie McCovey!

Re-create every inning of this amazing game by examining the box score for this no-hit gem!
