Did you know that during the nineteen-sixties, Dr. Mike Marshall was a three (3) time All-Star shortstop in the Minor Leagues?

Mike Marshall won the National League Fireman of the Year Award in 1973 and 1974. In 1979, he won the same award in the American League becoming the first pitcher to earn the award once from each league.

In 1974, Mike Marshall pitched in a National League record one-hundred six (106) games. Five (5) years later he set the American League record when he pitched in ninety (90) games.
