The California State University, Los Angeles baseball program started in 1950 and Brock Davis was their first player to make it to the Major League level.

The Golden Eagles have not yet won the College World Series, but they have been conference champions in 1963, 1968, 1973, 1974, 1977, 1997 and 1998.
