"Don August returned to Chapman College Saturday afternoon to lead the alumni team past the varsity baseball team, 2-1. August, who pitched for the Panthers from 1982-84 and was a member of the 1984 U.S. Olympic team, pitched the first three innings to gain the victory. Chapman University M.L.B. Player Alumnus



The Chapman University baseball program started in 1943 and John Young was their first player to make it to the Major League level.

The Chapman University Hall of Fame is dedicated to the memory of the late coach and athletic director, Don Perkins. Founded in 1979, the Hall of Fame honors individuals based on their athletic performance, service to the university, academic achievement and community involvement - names that appear above in bold print are members of the Panthers Hall of Fame.
