College World Series

The College World Series is put together annually by the College World Series of Omaha, Inc. — a non-profit organization formed in 1967. Omaha, Nebraska has been the host of the College World Series since 1949 and Baseball Almanac is pleased to present a list of winners, runner-ups, and final scores (which, starting in 2003, went to a best of three format) for each Series.

"It has been our pleasure to host the College World Series for more than fifty years. The Series is an event in which we take pride. A lot of hard work, dedication and commitment of our many volunteers, local business contributors and the city, has built the College World Series from its humble beginnings to the enjoyable event it is today." - President of the College World Series of Omaha, Inc. Jack Diesing, Jr. (2004)
