Flagler College M.L.B. Player Alumnus

The Flagler College baseball program started in 1968 and Chris Barnwell was their first — and only — player to make it to the Major League level.

The Flagler Baseball Coach, Dave Barnett, share this with his team, "It's (Barnwell making it to the show) a great statement for kids willing to commit themselves and work hard. That shows you anything can happen."

What was it like getting called up? Chris shared, "I was excited and nervous. They have everything ready for you. Everything fits perfectly." And what about his first at bat? "My arms were a little shaky. It’s hard to get a hit in your first-ever at-bat."
