Loyola University New Orleans's baseball program started in 1924 and Bob Schroder was their first player to make it to the Major League level.

From 1912 through 1995 the school was known as Loyola University. In 1995 they changed their name to Loyola University New Orleans and no player from that era has yet to break into the big leagues.
