Murray State University Baseball Players Who Made it to the Major Leagues

Baseball Almanac is pleased to present a comprehensive chart of every Murray State University alumnus who played baseball at Murray State University AND made it to the Major League level.

"It (Game 4 of the 2002 World Series) got down 3-0, I just told myself, 'I have to keep it right here, give my guys a chance.' They're an explosive team. They've proven that over this series. They can score in a hurry. When it was 3-0, I just tried to settle down and keep it right there and give my guys a chance. They've been great all year at coming back and getting a big hit at the end. They did it again tonight." - Kirk Rueter (Official Post Game Interview, 10/23/2002)

Long before it was called Murray State University the college was known as Murray State Teachers College (approximately 1922 through 1948) and during that time frame Major League second baseman Lou Rochelli went to school there, but did not play baseball for the Thoroughbreds.
