Occidental College M.L.B. Player Alumnus

Occidental College's baseball program started in 1887 and Dutch Hinrichs was their first player to make it to the Major League level. Names that appear on the chart above in bold print are in the Occidental College Hall of Fame.

Grant Dunlap was inducted into the Occidental College Hall of Fame in 1989, but he was not put in because of his time as a player. Here is the entry next to his name in their hall of fame:

"Arguably, the Greatest Coach in Tiger Baseball History. Grant was the Varsity Baseball Coach from 1954-1984. He had a career coaching record of 525-311-8 and coached 10 conference championship teams."

Did you know that there are five former Occidental College players who made it to "the show"? Send corrections or updates to Baseball Almanac.
