Troy University Baseball Players Who Made it to the Major Leagues

Baseball Almanac is pleased to present a comprehensive chart of every Troy University alumnus who played baseball at Troy University AND made it to the Major League level.

"(Omar) Infante and (Eric) Munson were not the only two hitters who produced last season for Class AA Erie, as catcher Mike Rivera had a breakout season and distinguished himself as one of the top offensive backstops in the game." - Sportswriter Josh Goldfine of SportsTicker on USA Today (04/01/2002)

Troy State University M.L.B. Player Alumnus

Troy State University might have renamed itself Troy University in 2004 (no player has made it from the newly renamed college), but their baseball program started in 1924 and Tom Drake was their first player to make it to the Major League level. Their new logo appears below:

Did you know that there are seven (7) former Troy University players who made it to "the show"? Send corrections or updates to Baseball Almanac. Names that appear on the chart above in bold print are in the Troy State University Hall of Fame.

Three other Major League ballplayers have attended Troy University, but did not play while they were at the school: Grady Wilson, Fred Hatfield & Mackey Sasser.
