UCLA M.L.B. Player Alumnus

The UCLA baseball program started in 1920 and Marv Gudat was their first player to make it to the Major League level. Names that appear on the chart above in bold print are in the University of California, Los Angeles Hall of Fame.

Did you know that there are seventy-two former University of California, Los Angeles players who made it to the show? Send updates to Baseball Almanac.

The UCLA website (link here) had a list of twenty-five major reasons why attending UCLA is so special and this one caught our eye: 9. If you add the current UCLA professional players in major league baseball, pro football, pro basketball, pro soccer, tennis and pro beach volleyball, there are more Bruin representatives playing professionally than any other school by a wide margin.
