University of Louisiana at Monroe Baseball Players Who Made it to the Major Leagues

"He (Sandy Koufax) said he used to turn nights into days. If you wake up at 8 or 9 o'clock in the morning, you'd be up for 12-13 hours before you started. He said just stay up later. So I stay up to 6 or 5 in the morning - as late as I can. That's why on day games I come in looking like a zombie. I'll just sleep all day until about 3 o'clock. I get (to the ballpark) at 4 p.m., take some pathetic BP, embarrass myself a little out there, then come in and get ready for the game." - Ben Sheets in (AP) Former Indian Pitcher Named To All-Star Team (July 3, 2001)
