The American League record holder for career sacrifice flies belongs to Cal Ripken, Jr. (#2 overall) who also happened to have all one-hundred twenty-seven (127) sac flies with the same team (Baltimore Orioles). The National League leader is Hank Aaron (#4 overall) who had one-hundred thirteen (113) with the Braves franchise (Milwaukee / Atlanta) — and eight (8) more in the American League with the Brewers.

Did you know that Brooks Robinson is the only Major League player to lead his league in sacrifice flies on four different occasions? While playing with the Orioles he led or tied the American League in sac flies in 1964, 1964, 1967 & 1968.

In 1973 Pete Rose of the Cincinnati Reds set a unique record of most at-bats (six-hundred eighty) without a single sacrifice fly. While that record has never been surpassed, odd enough it has been tied twice since then by Frank Taveras of the Pittsburgh Pirates / New York Mets in 1979 and Kirby Puckett of the Minnesota Twins in 1986.
