The Philadelphia Phillies had 1,709 different players take the field in their uniform from 1883 through 2000. On September 30, 2001, Bobby Abreu hit two home runs (#29 & #30), becoming the first Phillie in franchise history to enter the 30 / 30 Club (30 Home Runs & 30 Stolen Bases in the Same Season), and the first Venezuelan-born 30-30 Club player as well. [Major League Baseball Players Born in Venezuela]

Bobby Abreu CONSISTENTLY displayed both speed and power, year-in and year-out, hitting 20-or-more homers and stealing 20-or-more bases during the same season nine times (9x) during his career. The top ten 20-20 players are: Hank Aaron (6x), Willie Mays (6x), Raul Mondesi (6x), Alex Rodriguez (6x), Carlos Beltran (7x), Eric Davis (7x), Barry Bonds (10x) and Bobby Bonds (10x).

Besides being former Major League Baseball players, what do Willie Mays and Bobby Abreu have in common? They are the only two players in baseball history to play in 150-or-more games for thirteen consecutive seasons -- La Leche's streak of 150 games played per seasons started in 1998, then ended in 2011 (142 Games), tying him with The Say Hey Kid (1954 through 1966).

Did you know that Bobby Abreu (1999-2005) tied the National League (NL) record for most consecutive seasons (7) with 100-or-more walks in 2005, tying Jeff Bagwell (1997-2002) and Mel Ott (1936-1942)? In 2006, Abreu played for the Philadelphia Phillies (NL) and the New York Yankees (American League), was walked 124 times, and became only the second player in Major League history with eight consecutive 100-walk seasons, joining hall of famer Frank Thomas (1991-1998).
