Heath Bell started the 2011 season successfully recording a save his first seven opportunities. He ended the 2010 season with thirty-four straight, tying him for the Padres record for most consecutive saves (41), held by Trevor Hoffman! When Bell went for the record, he had a blown save, but recovered soon after and recorded his one-hundred career save on May 14.
