Oscar Lee Brown was a Major League Baseball player with the Atlanta Braves (1969-1973). Oscar was selected in the baseball draft three times before signing a professional contract! Originally drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 18th round of the 1965 Draft out of Polytechnic High School, Brown chose to play baseball at Compton Community College. The California Angels tried next, picking Oscar in the 5th round of the 1966 Draft (January Draft), but Brown refused to sign again and transferred to USC. When the Atlanta Braves selected Oscar in the 1st round (7th Overall) of the 1966 Draft (June Secondary), Brown signed!
