"I was fortunate to have worked with Pat for more than 30 years at three franchises, and he was instrumental in turning all three into championship organizations. He loved mentoring young players and the number of players he influenced is too long to count. Pat truly loved the game of baseball." - Kasten, Stan. Los Angeles Dodgers President. Did you know that Pat Corrales reached base twice in a game due to a catchers interference call, twice during the same season (1965). Noteworthy, because games with two-or-more catcher interference calls are extremely rare throughout baseball history.

After hanging up his playing cleats, Pat Corrales spent nine years as a big league manager and finished with an overall record of 572–634 (.474) with the Texas Rangers, Phillies and Cleveland Indians. Corrales managed in both the National League and American League in 1983, the fourth manager to manage in both leagues during the same season, and with the 1983 Indians, he finished in last place, and with the 1983 Phillies, he finished in first place. Corrales, the first Major League manager of Mexican descent, died on August 27, 2023, at his home in Big Canoe, Georgia. Pat was 82-years-old.
