Did you know that Adam Dunn struck out 222 times in 2012, setting a new American League record for strikeouts in a single season? The previous record was 197, set by Jack Cust in 2008, and had Dunn struck out just once more, he would have tied the Major League record for strikeouts in a season set by Mark Reynolds in 2009, 223 in the National League.

Did you know that Adam Dunn was the first player in Cincinnati Reds history to strikeout five times in a 9-inning game? On August 20, 2002, Dunn set the franchise record and tied the National League record for strikeouts in a regulation game.

Did you know that Adam Dunn hit a home run 535 feet on August 10, 2004, the longest home run ever hit at the Great American Ballpark? Sean Casey, on ESPN Network (20 August 2004), said, "Can you imagine you're driving along out there, switching radio channels or something, and then a baseball comes through the window — during a game? What the heck would you think?" The "out there" he is referring to is Mehring Way, where the ball landed, the rolled another couple hundred feet, and stopped on a piece of driftwood in the Ohio River (which technically means Dunn hit a home run in Ohio that stopped rolling in Kentucky).

Did you know that Adam Dunn scored 100+ runs, drove in 100+ runs, and walked 100+ times in 2004? Notable because only one Reds' player in team history had ever matched that trio, Hall of Famer Joe Morgan, who did it once in his career, but Dunn repeated the feat in 2005 -- the only player in Reds history to do it more than once.

Did you know that Adam Dunn hit exactly 40 home runs in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008, which is the most consecutive National League seasons (4) by any player who hit the same number of homers each of those years (greater than zero)? Second place belonged to Mike Schmidt who had 38 home runs in 1975, 1976, and 1977. Do you know what American League player hit the identical number of homers over the course of four consecutive seasons? [Answer]

Did you know that Adam Dunn hit 38 home runs for the Washington Nationals in 2009 and 2010, which is the most in a single season by a left-handed slugger in both Montreal Expos / Washington Nationals history?

Did you know that if we only examine left handed hitters, and check the Strikeouts Record Book, you'll find that Adam Dunn tied Ryan Howard for most by a lefty in a single National League search with 199 whiffs? Howard set the record in 2007, then tied his own record in 2008, Dunn matched it 2010.

Did you know that Adam Dunn hit eight home runs on Opening Day, tying him for the most home runs in a career on Opening Day with Frank Robinson and Ken Griffey, Jr.?

Did you know that Adam Dunn hit 462 career home runs and was added to the post season roster in 2014, but did not make it into a post season game? The only player in baseball history with more home runs than Dunn, and no postseason experience, is Hall of Famer Ernie Banks, who had 512 long balls.
