Did you know that Erik Hiljus was only the fourth Athletics player in franchise history to record at least five wins without a single loss? In 1926, Joe Pate started and set the record when the Athletics were in Philadelphia, going 9 and 0. In 1996, Jim Corsi and Buddy Groom joined the team going 6-0 and 5-0 respectively. Then in 2001, Hiljus added his name to the list when he went 5 and 0 and Erik had more strikeouts (67) than any of the others.
