In 1978, Matt Keough was still a rookie pitcher, and had a 6-4 record, a sparkling 2.16 ERA, and sixty-one strikeouts before the Midsummer Classic, earning him a spot in the 1978 All-Star Game. After that, Matt lost eleven games, including his last four starts. Then, in 1979, things got worse as Matt lost his first fourteen decisions in a row, and ended up tying an infamous record when he made twenty-eight consecutive starts without a victory. Do you know whose record he tied? [Answer]

In 1980, Matt Keough bounced back, throwing a complete game shutout victory in his first start, winning the next two games in a row, and finishing off the season with sixteen wins, a 2.92 ERA, and The Sporting News Comeback Player of the Year Award. Sports Illustrated featured him on the cover (image below) of their April 27, 1981 issue, alongside Brian Kingman, Rick Langford, Mike Norris, and Steve McCattyThe Amazing A's And Their Five Aces

Why do we have the "Legs" video from ZZ Top below? Because the actress, Jeana (Tomasino) Keough, who also appeared in the bands next two videos, "Sharp Dressed Man" and "Gimme All Your Lovin" is Matt Keough's ex-wife. Jeana also appeared on episodes of Cheers, St. Elsewhere, The A-Team, T.J. Hooker, and The Real Housewives of Orange County (15+ years)! [Celebrities Related to Major League Baseball Players]
