The New York Times, June 12, 2003
The no-hitter Pete Munro was part of (see Fast Fact #1) was the first Interleague no hitter in Major League history and the first where six pitchers combined to no-hit their opponent!
Staff Writer Rafael Hermoso in New York Newsday (04/12/1993, 'Cardozo's Munro star attraction when he pitches') wrote, "Munro throws a fastball that has been clocked as fast as 92 mph. Last season, he went 6-0 and had a no-hitter and a one-hitter among his four shutouts. He struck out 56 batters in 29 innings." At the time the article was written, Munro was still in High School and had recently been ranked by Baseball America as the 21st highest ranked prospect in the United States!
