"On his first two starts he beat the Yankees twice in one week. In the first game he put the horsecollar on (Joe) DiMaggio five times. In the second game, DiMaggio was one for four with a homerun, but Nagy retaliated in the eighth inning with an inside the park homerun, off of ace relief pitcher Joe Page, making DiMaggio chase down the ball to far center field and sliding into home base knocking Yogi Berra head over heels. Steve went on to complete pitching the ten inning game. To date, no other Major League pitcher has equaled this feat." - Richard J. Nagy (Steve's son)
