Did you know that catcher/first baseman Doc Powers and pitcher Doc Newton were really doctors; Powers a physician and Newton a dentist? Once, when both of them played for the 1905 New York Highlanders, in one of the few games Powers caught, he and Doc Newton formed what was probably the only "all doctor" battery in Major League history!
