"I don't have Nolan Ryan's fastball and I don't have Steve Carlton's slider or Mario Soto's changeup, but when I get to the mound the one thing I usually take with me is a good attitude." - Rick Sutcliffe (Dorfman, H.A. The Mental Game Of Baseball: A Guide to Peak Performance. Taylor Trade Publishing. 16 May 2002. Page 15.)

After being traded to the Cubs, The Red Baron, another one of Rick's nicknames, continued making history, going 16-1 in Chicago, leading the National League in winning percentage, and winning the first unanimous Cy Young Award in Cubs history.
