President George W. Bush Baseball Game Attendance Log

President George W. Bush was the managing general partner of the Texas Rangers from 1989 to 1994. During his presidency, President Bush attended the following games while in office.

"Baseball is a pursuit for optimists, just like drilling for oil or running for office. To come to the ballpark every day, you have to believe you can win. To drill another well after a dry hole, you have to believe this one will be successful. To run for office, especially after losing, you have to believe you can win." - George W. Bush in A Charge To Keep (2001)

President George W. Bush Baseball Game Attendence Log

Did you know that President George W. Bush is the first Little League player to be elected to the office of President of the United States of America?

President George W. Bush and Bud Selig, long-time friends from their days as Major League owners (Bush of the Texas Rangers and Selig of the Milwaukee Brewers), each threw ceremonial first pitches during the opening of Miller Park.

Milwaukee Brewers starter Jeff D'Amico, who witnessed President Bush's one-hopper on April 6, 2001, commented after the game, "I wish he would have made it to the plate at least."
