Chance Records by Second Baseman

Did you know that Billy Herman of the Chicago Cubs is the only player in Major League history to have five seasons (1932, 1933, 1935, 1936 & 1938) with at least nine-hundred chances at second base?

Cupid Childs of the American Association Syracuse Stars tied the all-time record for chances (18) in a game on June 1, 1890.

On June 11, 1919, Steve Yerkes of the Boston Red Sox played second base in a fifteen inning game without one chance offered setting the Major League record for longest game without any chances.
