Batting Streak Records

Baseball Almanac is pleased to present a record book full of baseball milestones for batting streaks — including most consecutive games with a hit, most consecutive games with a hit by type of hitter (lefthander, righthander, etcetera) and other interesting marks.

Batting Streaks Records by Baseball Almanac, Inc.

George Brett of the Kansas City Royals set a new American League record (and tied the National League record set by Sam Thompson in 1895) when he had three or more hits during six consecutive games (May 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 & 13) during the 1976 season.

Did you know that Wee Willie Keeler is the only ballplayer with eight twenty-game (or more) batting streaks during a Major League career?

On September 18, 1977, Ted Cox debuted and had six consecutive hits setting the Major League record for most consecutive hits from the start of a career.
