Rangers Ballpark in Arlington Historical Analysis
Rangers Ballpark in Arlington was originally called The Ballpark in Arlington until it was renamed Ameriquest Field in Arlington on May 7, 2004. On March 19, 2007, the Rangers announced that it was "all about the brand" and negotiated their way out of a 30-year, $75 million agreement. "The Ballpark" truly is a fan-friendly ballpark with all the modern amenities, a 17,000-square-foot baseball museum and a children's learning center that's open year-round. Outside the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, fans can see a unique wrought-iron / granite / brick decor with a stunning Cajun type design while they meander down the brick-laid Nolan Ryan Expressway and read plaques about each team in franchise history & the Rangers Walk of Fame.

"Decked out in Lone Stars that make it undeniably Texan, The Ballpark in Arlington is a tribute to America's national pastime. The open-air stadium that is home to the Texas Rangers was built with tradition and fan comfort in mind, containing a home run porch in right field where every kid has a chance to catch a ball and a Friday's Front Row Sports Grill where every mom can catch a break away from the heat." - Roxanna Scott in GuideLive (2003)
