"(Coach) Red Adams has been, since I came to the major leagues, directly responsible for most of my wins. He has the capacity to understand me as a person, to not pass judgment on me as a person, to understand how I pitch, and to help me remember the things that I have to do when I do it well." – Don Sutton in Orange Coast Magazine (May 1986, Sermon on the Mound, Page 112)
