Charles Akin Embry was a Major League Baseball player who pitched for the Chicago White Sox (1923). Slim, his nickname, graduated from Central High School in Nashville, Tennessee, went on to play baseball at Vanderbilt University, and as captain of the team, he helped the Commodores win the 1921 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association title!
