Eric Hinske, in 2002, set Toronto Blue Jays rookie records for doubles (38), extra base hits (64), home runs (24), runs (99), runs batted in (84), total bases (272) and walks (77). Big Ske also led all American League rookies in games played, at-bats, runs, hits, home runs, stolen bases and walks, earning him the Rookie of the Year Award - the second Blue Jay to receive the honor. Do you know who was first? [Answer]

In 2003, Eric Hinske hit forty-five doubles, but only had one-hundred nine hits. In the history of the American League (1901-today), no player with a minimum of one-hundred hits, has had a higher percentage (41%) of doubles during a single season!

Roy Howell (1978), Kelly Gruber (1989) and Eric Hinske (2003) share a record that none of them want. Each of them played the hot corner with the Toronto Blue Jays and in the respective season listed next to their name, committed a franchise record twenty-two errors at third base.
