All of us, from the front office to the players to the batboys, are fortunate to see him every day. He is without a doubt one of the greatest players of our generation." - Shapiro, Mark. In 2006, Grady Sizemore had a historic season, hitting 53 doubles, 28 home runs, 22 stolen bases, and 11 triples. Exactly one player in Major League history had ever put together a 50-double, 20-homer, 20-steal, 10-triple - Hall of Famer Chuck Klein (1932).

In 2007, Grady Sizemore hit a leadoff home run on Opening Day (April 2, 2007), a home run feat matched previously by just two other Cleveland Indians; Julio Franco (April 4, 1988) and Charlie Jamieson (April 14, 1925). Grady, however, was not finished, and hit home runs in the second game of the season (April 4, 2007), and the third game of the season (April 5, 2007), the first Tribe player to ever homer in the first three games of a season.

In 2008, Grady Sizemore joined the 30 / 30 Club, finishing the year with thirty-three home runs, and thirty-eight stole bases, the tenth player in American League history with a 30-30 season, the second Cleveland Indian (Joe Carter in 1987). If you include his doubles (39), Grady becomes the only Indian in franchise history with a 30-30-30 season!

In 2009, Grady Sizemore suffered the first of many future injuries, slowing down what was shaping up to be an incredible career, but before that happened, he hit three additional lead-off home runs, breaking the tie with Kenny Lofton (18) for most lead-off home runs in Cleveland Indians history.
