Indiana University Baseball Players Who Made it to the Major Leagues

Baseball Almanac is pleased to present a comprehensive chart of every Indiana University alumnus who played baseball at Indiana University AND made it to the Major League level.

''He (Ted Kluszewski) was the best hitting coach I ever had in my twenty-six years as a manager. And the reason was that he didn't try to teach 'his way.' He took what a player had and worked with that; very few hitting coaches can do that.'' - Sparky Anderson in The Cincinnati Post (July 17, 1998)

Indiana University M.L.B. Player Alumnus

The Indiana University baseball program started in 1868 and Odie Porter was their first player to make it to the Major League level. Names that appear on the chart above in bold print are in the Indiana University Hall of Fame.

The Hoosiers have placed three of there former players into their own Hall of Fame. One of those three (their most recent & pictured above) is probably the only player in major league history best known for his legendary jerseys.

Did you know that there are twenty-one former Indiana University players who made it to the show? Send corrections or updates to Baseball Almanac.
