Baseball Almanac is pleased to present a comprehensive chart of every Cal State Fullerton alumni who played baseball at Cal State Fullerton AND made it to the Major League level.
"Confidence is the difference. The first time I was up here, I didn't know many faces. I didn't go to spring training with the major league club, so I didn't know these guys and I really wanted to do well the first time up to show them I could. I put a lot of pressure on myself then." - Saarloos, Kirk. Amarillo Globe-News. 26 July 2002.
The Cal State Fullerton baseball program started in 1965. Dan Whitmer was the first former Titan to make it to the Major League level.
Did you know that there were seventy-two former Cal State Fullerton ballplayers who made it to the majors? One additional big leaguer, Frank Tanana, attended Cal State Fulleton, but did not play (DNP) baseball with the Titans. Send updates to Baseball Almanac.
Only four Cal State Fullerton baseball players attended and played baseball at another college: Dann Howitt, who played at Michigan State University from 1982 through 1984 was the first (Casian, Wise and Bickford were the other three, data from each is above).
