James Kyle Farmer is an active Major League Baseball player with the Cincinnati Reds (2019-today), who previously played for the Los Angeles Dodgers (2017-2018). Farm Dawg his nickname, played baseball and football at Maris School in Atlanta, Georgia, and during the movie Blind Side, he was the actor who played a high school quarterback (practice squad QB / yellow practice jersey)!

Farmer said, "That was an awesome opportunity. I got to meet Sandra Bullock. I have a lot of respect for movie stars now. It takes a lot of work to be one. I was very nervous. She is a very pretty lady, but I had a lot of fun being around her. She even gave me advice. My teammates joke around about it quite a bit and have asked to see the clips on YouTube. As an actor, you need a lot of patience. I learned a lot about being patient because you go through a lot of takes filming a scene. It's helped me be more patient as a baseball player. It takes a lot of patience to succeed in this game." Source: Lester, Brian. MiLB: Once blind-sided, Farmer adjusts to catching. 17 June 2014.
