Tiger of the Year Award

The Tiger of the Year has been awarded annually since 1965 and are receipients are determined through a vote by members of the Detroit Chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America.

When Cecil Fielder won Tiger of the Year three consecutive times (1990-1992) he became only the second former Tiger to win at least three times, joining Alan Trammell (1980, 1987-1988).
