The record for most seasons leading a league in hits belongs to Ty Cobb in the American League with eight (1907, 1908, 1909, 1911, 1912, 1915, 1917 & 1919) and Pete Rose & Tony Gwynn in the National League with seven (1965, 1968, 1970, 1972, 1973, 1976 & 1981 | 1984, 1986, 1987, 1989, 1994, 1995 & 1997, respectively).
Only two switch-hitters have ever had one-hundred hits from each side of the plate during the same season: The first was Garry Templeton of the St. Louis Cardinals who had one-hundred eleven hits left-handed and one-hundred hits right-handed in 1979. The second, and most recent, was Willie Wilson of the Kansas City Royals who had one-hundred thirty hits left-handed and one-hundred hits right-handed in 1980.
Did you know that Rogers Hornsby (1922), Chuck Klein (1930), Wade Boggs (1985), Derek Jeter (1999) and Ichiro Suzuki (2001) each had at least one hit in one-hundred thirty-five games tieing themselves for the most games during a season with at least one hit?
